HVOF-spritzen
Spraying with supersonic speed
HVOF: high velocity oxy fuel spraying.
The HVOF spraying is one of the newer methods. A unique feature is the gas jet exiting with supersonic. The impact velocity of the particles on the surface is much higher than using other methods. The temperature input during spraying is moderate. Thus, the spraying material is changed only slightly metallurgical, so that there is minimal formation of mixed carbides. As fuel gases propane, propene, ethylene, acetylene and hydrogen can be used.
